The short version: We don't collect, own, sell, or monetize your personal content. Any data you choose to enter into Life OS belongs entirely to you. We will never sell your data. We will never show you ads.
1. Overview
WhatIsYourLife LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates whatisyourlife.com and app.whatisyourlife.com (collectively, the "Service"). The Service also includes the Life OS mobile app distributed on Google Play (Android). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2. Information We Collect
Account Authentication. When you sign in using Google, we receive your email address and name via Google Firebase Authentication. This is used solely to authenticate your account and identify your data in our systems.
Google Calendar Data. If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we request the following access:
- Access to view and manage events across all calendars accessible to your Google account, used to display, sync, and push events within the Service.
- The ability to read your full calendar list, import events from multiple calendars, and push Life OS events back to your Google Calendar.
- Birthday events from Google Calendar may be classified and routed into your Contacts section within Life OS for your convenience.
All calendar data is accessed through Google's OAuth system and stored in your personal Firebase account. We do not have access to your Google Calendar data — it is protected by your Google credentials and Firebase security rules that restrict access to your authenticated account only. We request only the permissions needed to view calendars and manage individual events. We never delete or share entire calendars. Our use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
User-Generated Content. Life OS offers a wide range of optional life management sections — including Health & Medical, Finance, Emotional Life, Relationships, Career, Fitness, Nutrition, Family, Contacts, and more. You choose which sections to use and what information to enter. Content you create is stored in your individual Firebase/Firestore account, scoped entirely to your user ID. Some features let you share specific items — such as a list, an event page, or your calendar — with people you choose; only what you deliberately share becomes visible to them. We do not access, analyze, sell, or use this content for any purpose other than delivering the Service back to you.
Device Identifiers. Each record you create in the Service is tagged with a device identifier to support data synchronization and conflict resolution across multiple devices. This identifier is stored alongside your data in Firestore but is not used to track your activity or build any profile about you.
Push Notification Tokens. If you enable push notifications in the mobile app, we receive a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token that identifies your device for the purpose of delivering notifications. The token is stored only in your Firebase user profile and is used solely to send Life OS notifications to your device. Disabling notifications in Settings removes the token.
Photos and Documents. If you use features that capture or upload photos or documents (such as schedule import), the files are stored in your individual Firebase account, scoped to your user ID. When you invoke an extraction feature, the file you submit is processed by our AI service provider (Anthropic) solely to return the extracted results to you — it is never used to train AI models. Outside of features you deliberately invoke, we do not access or analyze your photos.
Usage and Session Data. We collect limited usage data to understand how the Service is being used and to provide support. This includes:
- Login timestamps and authentication method (Google sign-in)
- Which screens or sections of the app were visited during a session
This data does not include any content you enter, any personal details beyond your login identity, or any behavioral profiling. It is used only for service monitoring, support, and general usage understanding. The app administrator (WhatIsYourLife LLC) can view this data attributed to your account email or display name, but cannot access the content of your Life OS data.
What we do NOT collect:
- Payment information — no transactions are processed through the Service
- Advertising profiles — we do not build them or sell your data
- Data from children under 13
- Any content from sections you choose not to use
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Authenticate and maintain your account
- Display and sync your Google Calendar within the Service
- Store and retrieve the personal content you choose to enter, as directed by you
- Process content you submit to AI-powered features (such as onboarding intake or schedule import) solely to generate the results you requested
- Synchronize your data across your devices
- Monitor login activity and screen usage for service support and improvement
- Respond to your support requests
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, AI training, or any purpose beyond delivering the Service.
4. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure
WhatIsYourLife LLC's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
- We only request the minimum permissions necessary to provide calendar functionality
- We do not transfer your Google data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service
- We do not use your Google data for ads or any purpose unrelated to the Service
- We do not allow humans to read your Google data — it is accessible only to you through your authenticated session
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train AI or machine-learning models, and we do not transfer it to any third-party AI or machine-learning services
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), which we use to deliver push notifications to the mobile app, is also a Google API. Our use of FCM is subject to the same Limited Use Disclosure: the FCM token is used solely to deliver Life OS notifications to your device and for no other purpose.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share data only in these circumstances:
- Service Providers: Google Firebase for authentication and data storage (governed by Google's Privacy Policy).
- AI Processing: Anthropic processes content you submit to AI-powered features (onboarding intake and schedule import) solely to return the results you requested. Your content is never used to train their models. Google user data is never sent to Anthropic or any other AI service.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition. We will notify you in advance.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from Profile Settings within the app — no need to contact us. Deletion is processed immediately upon your request.
You may also request deletion by contacting support@whatisyourlife.com. When you revoke Google Calendar access via your Google Account, we immediately cease accessing your calendar data.
For step-by-step instructions, including how to request deletion if you no longer have access to the app, see Delete Account.
7. Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connections and is encrypted at rest on Google Cloud infrastructure (Firestore's default server-side encryption). Firebase security rules restrict Firestore data access strictly to the authenticated account owner — neither the app operator nor any third party can access your personal content. Google Calendar access tokens are stored in your Firebase account, are never shared with anyone, are deleted when you delete your account, and become invalid immediately if you revoke access from your Google Account.
You can also enable optional end-to-end encryption in the app, which encrypts your entries with a passphrase held only on your device — with it enabled, your content cannot be read by anyone but you, including us. No electronic storage or transmission method is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights with respect to your data:
- Access and correction: You can view and edit all your data directly within the app at any time.
- Export: You can export your calendar events and journal entries from within the app today; full-account export is in development.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from Profile Settings within the app.
- Google Calendar revocation: You can revoke Google Calendar access at any time via your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com.
To exercise any right not covered above, contact support@whatisyourlife.com.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. The Effective Date at the top reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
